2. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information the Company collects through the Website and through our business relationships with you—for example, when you create an account, request a demo, subscribe to marketing communications, respond to a survey, apply for a job, or contact us.
This Privacy Policy does not govern personal information that our customers may choose to process through the Services. The Services are not designed to require the processing of personal information, and we encourage customers not to upload personal information unless necessary for their intended use. Where a customer does upload personal information, that customer—not the Company—is the controller of that information and is responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws, including providing all necessary notices and obtaining all necessary consents. We process such information only as a processor on the customer’s behalf and retain it in accordance with our contractual commitments to that customer. See Section 7 (How We Share Information) and Section 12 (Your Privacy Rights) for how requests relating to customer-processed information are handled.

Requesting access to the Services: Before accessing or using the Services, you may be asked to complete the General Robotics End User License Agreement (“EULA”). As part of this application, we collect your business contact information, information about your organization (including the type of organization and the jurisdiction in which it is located), and information about your intended use of the Services (including a description of your use case, your previous experience with similar services, and estimates of how frequently you will use the Services). We use this information to understand the purposes for which you are seeking to use the Services, to assess whether the Services are right for your organization and intended purposes, to customize your user experience, and to inform new product capabilities we should consider building.
Creating an account: Once your EULA is approved, you will be required to create an account in order to use the Services. To create your account, we collect your first and last name, email address, and a password that you create. We use this information to create and administer your account and to facilitate your access to and use of the Services. We strongly recommend that you do not disclose your password to anyone. We will never ask you for your password in any unsolicited communication (such as letters, phone calls, or email messages). If you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account, you are required to notify us immediately.
Surveys: From time to time, we may offer you the opportunity to participate in a survey. Information obtained through our surveys is used in aggregated, de-identified form to help us understand our users and enhance our Website.
Employment: If you apply for a job with us, we may collect certain personal information about you (such as information contained in a resume, cover letter, or other employment-related materials). 13.3 Controller and Processor Roles
The Company acts as the data controller with respect to personal information collected through our Website, marketing activities, recruiting processes, and business relationships.
When customers upload or otherwise provide personal information through the Services for processing on their behalf, the Company generally acts as a data processor (or service provider under certain laws), processing such personal information only in accordance with the customer’s documented instructions and applicable agreements. The customer remains responsible for ensuring that it has an appropriate legal basis for collecting and providing such personal information to us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We have not sold or shared personal information in the 12 months preceding the effective date of this Privacy Policy.

15. Additional Information for Individuals in Singapore
If you are located in Singapore, we handle your personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”). We collect, use, and disclose personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and, where required by the PDPA, on the basis of your consent or another lawful basis.

We will respond to your request in accordance with the PDPA. Where we transfer personal data outside of Singapore, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA, as described in Section 8 (International Transfers).
16. GRID Navigator Mobile Application
This section describes information practices specific to the GRID Navigator mobile application (“the App”). It supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy.
16.1 What the App Collects
Account information. When you sign in, you authenticate through General Robotics’ authorization portal. We receive the name and email address associated with your organization-provisioned account.
Camera imagery. The App captures color (RGB) photos and video frames of your surroundings to build datasets and maps.
Depth and environment scanning. On supported devices, the App captures LiDAR/depth data and 3D scans of physical spaces (“environment scanning”).
Device motion. The App records motion/inertial (IMU) sensor data so motion samples can be aligned with each scan.
16.2 How We Use This Information
Captured imagery, depth/environment scans, and motion data are used solely to provide the App’s core functionality — creating and processing scans, datasets, and maps within the GRID platform on your behalf. This data is not used for advertising and is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
16.3 When Data Leaves Your Device
Captured data stays on your device until you are signed in and choose to upload it. Uploaded data is transmitted to General Robotics’ cloud infrastructure, associated with your account, and handled in accordance with Section 7 (How We Share Information), Section 9 (Data Retention), and Section 10 (Security). If you use the App’s Demo Mode, no account is required and no captured data is uploaded — everything remains local to your device.
16.4 Retention and Deletion
Uploaded scans and datasets are retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect our legal rights, and are then deleted or anonymized, as described in Section 9 (Data Retention). GRID Navigator accounts are provisioned by your organization; to request access to, or deletion of, your account and associated data, contact your organization administrator or email privacy@generalrobotics.company.
16.5 Permissions
The App requests access to your device camera and motion sensors. These permissions are used only to capture the data described above. You can revoke them at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Our Website may contain links to other websites that the Company does not own or operate. We provide these links as a convenience to users; they are not intended as an endorsement of, or referral to, the linked websites. The linked websites have separate and independent privacy policies, notices, and terms of use.
